Freshly extracted apple, pear, celery and grapefruit juice-all poured over ice and finished with some finely diced fresh mint.
Beneath the skin in the subcutaneous layer, the purpose of which is to bind the skin to the bones or connective tissue beneath its surface. The subcutaneous layer is thinner in women then in men and as women age it becomes even thinner. It is because of this that fat cells become larger; they move closer to the skin’s surface and show themselves in the bumpy form we have identified as cellulite. This doesn’t mean nothing can be done. A poor diet and lack of exercise help to exacerbate this condition as it overloads the liver and lymphatic system with toxins. Get one of these smoothies inside you and a good dose of exercise and you should soon see a change.
¼ pink grapefruit
2 sticks of celery
A few mint leaves
4 ice cubes
Juice everything except the mint. Pour the juice into a glass over ice and sprinkle finely diced mint on top.
Look what’s in it! Vitamins A, B, B1, B2 and C, potassium, calcium, pectin, boron, ellagic acid, carotenes, amino acid, natural sugars, antioxidants, calcium, iron, sulphur, phosphorus, magnesium and malic acid.
How will it help me get rind of my cellulite? The apple and mint in this juice help to eliminate toxins from the ft tissue. The grapefruit has a high vitamin C content and is an excellent cleanser for a clogged lymphatic system. The celery, apple and pear juice help to cleanse the subcutaneous tissues and improve kidney function. All in all, this is much more effective than external creams-I believe in beauty care from within.
I recently bought a juicer and am now mad on it! I lost a stone in weight in just under 3 weeks! And that was not really why I started. I had headaches most evenings and hay fever allergies, etc, etc. … anyway my headaches have gone and so has everything else. I feel great.
